Poetry

Hello Bloggers,
Being it has been almost two months since my last post, a lot has changed. Including the fact that we are now studying poetry in English class. Today in class, instead of Mr. J, we had a "sub" named Mr. Ott. We read/listened to poems all all types. From different time periods or poems with different styles. For me, I realized that the theme of the poem is important as well as bringing your poem back to reality. Does that make sense? Probably not. Anyways, when writing a poem who may get lost in the waves a stanzas and lose yourself in your deep and inner thoughts. Remember to bring your reader back to today. Still doesn't make sense... Hmmm. Maybe you should read some poetry as well to understand what I am saying. Enjoy losing yourself in 19th century literature!

Second Wind

First off I want to say sorry for being such a horrible blogger, Franko Manchini is back and ready to blog! The video below, Second Wind by Ian Worrel, is a powerful and, well, erie video. Seriously, I have chills. Though the video is silent, aside from the creepy music and occasional sound effect, it has a emotional and powerful effect. The video would manipulate your emotions and make you feel a hundred different things at once. Also, there was a moral to the story, or morals. I believe the morals were that you don't know what you have till it's gone, do not let jealously interfere with your emotions, and everyone deserves a second chances. I believe these are the morals because these themes are evident throughout the story. I hope you enjoy!

Unnatural Wonder

Many of you may have heard of the Garbage Patch. The mass of garbage in the pacific ocean which is twice the surface area of Texas, the North Pacific Gyre. I chose to upload this particular video because it is infromative and powerful. Take a look at the video posted below.

Grades... Fun.

As this blog is an assingment for my English class, my English teacher has requested that we right about our grades. Being that I have a 96.25% in this class I think I'm doing pretty darn good. I could try even harder in this class and get a higher grade but that that would be way to much work. I have many other activities going on, (Cheer, Student Body, and Model UN) which may not seem like much but it really is. To get this grade all I have been doing is all my work. THATS IT! It is really easy to get a good grade all you have to do is do the work and pay attention in class.

Guerr Bears United!

At my school we have a special class called advisory. In advisory we just talk about our days and do fun stuff. Anyways, we named our little group the Guerr Bears. Why Guerr you may ask, it's because our advisory teacher's name is Mr. Guerra. Get it? We created a flag so we could represent our Guerr Bear pride at school functions, I have posted a picture of it below. Take a minute to admire it's awesomeness.

Banksy

This picture has so much to say for itself. It's ironic, revoltionary, and inspring. The man in the image looks angry and prepared to fights but instead of a weapon in his hand he is suprisingly holding a boquet of flowers. The flowers are more detialed than the man as well. I believe the man is fighting, fighting for something he believes in, I believe that something is the flowers. That is also why the flowers are so much more colorfu because it is not who is fighting for the cause that matters but the cause which he is fighting for.
